Before arriving in Hong Kong, I only knew it as the metropolitan hub for trade and commerce. Little did I know that it offers some incredible hiking opportunities. Hong Kong is actually an island, off the coast of mainland China, or the "Kowloon" side. On both the island of Hong Kong and the neighboring mainland, there are some really great places to explore if you are looking to get away from the bustling downtown.
